Black Friday MY ASS!!

Today is the most anticipated day of the year for some folks and the most dreaded day of the year for others. Not for me. To me it is just the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I have never LEFT MY HOUSE to go to a Black Friday sale and I probably never will. I KNOW there are good deals to be had but there is no way I am going to go CAMP OUT at a store 3 or 4 hours before it opens to make sure I am one of the first ppl in the store to get a certain discounted item.

An example....This year Best Buy was having a Black Friday item of a laptop that is only $200...but they have just TEN per store. There are 200 ppl lined up outside the store waiting to get in to fight for just 10 of EACH ITEM according to their own sales circular. NO THANK YOU.

I have always been lucky to find really good ONLINE Black Friday deals. I bought half my Christmas JUST TODAY on Black Friday online deals. I can't tell you what they are because some of my relatives and friends read my blog and it might give away someone's Christmas surprise by telling what I bought. HOWEVER let me say this...if you have ever wanted an IPad and can't afford one, or if you have ever wanted to buy one for your kids or some other loved on or friend, tweet me at @PeggySueCusses and I will tell you what I found. It will shock and amaze you at the deal I found that will satisfy your IPad lovers.

Well, we have been back from Disney for about 3 weeks now and Jeremy (the husband) and I have decided that WE are going to go back to Orlando around the same time next year, or maybe a few weeks earlier, WITHOUT THE KIDS!! Now we aren't going to stay 10 days like we did with the kids. We will only stay there 5 days with 2 travel days (total 7) And we are going to go to a few parks that we didn't get a chance to go to when we were there with all 5 of us. We are going to go to Sea World and to Discovery Cove (swimming with the Dolphins) We are going to REVISIT Island of Adventure, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. We are NOT going to stay on property next time.

We found a great Quality Inn located just 1 mile from Downtown Disney that has a bedroom, living room and FULL KITCHEN for $67 a night (that's with a Moose Lodge member discount) and a FULL HOT FREE breakfast buffet every day of our stay. Just the breakfast alone will save us $20 a day so that is really like getting the room for $47 a night. They also have FREE wi-fi, which Disney does not have (yet). Disney is starting to put wi-fi in their deluxe resorts but for now everybody else has to pay for it. $10 a day. So the free wi-fi will save us another $10 a day taking the room rate down to a virtual $37 a day. Having the living room will be priceless because Jeremy wakes up usually between 4 and 6 and I don't. So when he wakes up he can go into the living room and not wake me up watching TV.

OF COURSE the kids are all sad in the pants that we are going to go back without them. Especially DD11. She is really resentful of it. Instead of being grateful for the once in a lifetime 10 day Disney extravaganza they got to go on just 3 weeks ago, she is brooding that she can't go next time.

This has been a relax-ful week with the kids not being in school. They go back to school Monday for just 3 weeks then they get off again for 2 weeks for Christmas. =) Can anybody say SLEEPING IN. Yes please, thank you.

If you want to read (a long post) a detailed description of our Disney trip (trip report) just scroll down. It is the next post down.

Hope you all has a great Thanksgiving. We had a small gathering. Just myself, husband, all 3 kids, DS26's g/f and my dad. I DID NOT cook a Turkey. I bought a spiral sliced Turkey breast from the Heavenly Ham store. It is way better than cooking some crappy grocery store Turkey. The slices are super thin and a 4 pound breast was more than enough to feed the 6 ppl who ate Turkey and I had about half of it leftover to send home with my son and my dad. I never keep any food from my TG dinner. I do not want stacks and stacks of leftovers in the fridge that nobody here will eat. I have some leftover snobs in my house and they won't eat leftovers. So I was glad to send away all the food that was left. Even a whole pie went home with my dad.

I usually won't cook a Christmas dinner because Jeremy is never home for Christmas. His work schedule usually lands him home on Thanksgiving and gone on Christmas. He has been home for Christmas once in the last 6 years. =(

Anyway, message me on Twitter if you want my awesome Black Friday online find. (@PeggySueCusses)

Did you brave the crowds for shopping today?
