Yeah I'm an asshole.

Yes. I was one of the 2 billion assholes watching the royal wedding. I thought it was boring. The best part was watching everybody drive up to the Abbey in the fancy cars and her walking down the isle. I know it is tradition but it was so weird that William did not turn around and watch her walking down the isle.

Also there was no wedding kiss like what we do in America. I know they kissed twice on the balcony but it is not the same.

Her dress was fabulous but even better than Kate's dress, to me, was her sister Pippa's dress. Her dress was beautiful and she has a tiny little figure just like her sister. I think she may be a tad bit prettier in the face than her sister. SHUT MY MOUTH!! I KNOW!!

It was sweet when Will told Kate she looked beautiful when she walked up to the alter beside him and it was cool when Kate walked out on the balcony and mouthed "WOW" when she saw all the hundreds of thousands of ppl outside the palace.

I learned from the TV coverage of the wedding that it is royal tradition/protocol that she gets pregnant within 18 months of the wedding. How cold and official is that? I figure that may be why they waited so long to get married because neither of them were ready to have kids yet. Now they are old enough to start a family and have had 8 years together without kids, they can go ahead and start popping them out I guess.

It's not like she has to raise her own kids anyway. They have nurses and nannies. But considering it is rumored that Will and Kate are going to live with NO SERVANTS, she may end up raising her own kids, who knows?!?

HELL, to me, one of the biggest benefits of marrying into that stuck up royal bullshit is having all those servants. LOL. Give me 3 housekeepers and 2 nannies and a butler and driver. Hells yeah!! Kate will come around eventually. She will get sick of cleaning Will's shit skids out of the toilets and she will get some help.

Well, I did not get up at 4 am to watch. I cheated. I set my DVR to record TLC's coverage of it.

Did you watch?

  1. Yup ... I am an asshole, too. I made my girls get up and watch it, too ... before they went off to school. We had a little better of a time slot - they walked down the isle at 7 am, so it wasn't quite so early for us.

I cried like a bozo and continue to do so every single time I catch more coverage of that day. I know that makes me a moron, but there are so few things that we (as a society) band together for ... that doesn't involve killing anyone, or overthrowing a government ... I simply felt the whole event was beautiful ... every part of it.

...and when he looked at her with that shy, sideways glance and said "you're absolutely beautiful" ... I nearly died. So lovely.

Hooray for them ... and hooray for all the assholes who celebrated along with them!
